Fire Safety Risk Assessment

This section refers to the new Fire Safety Risk Assessment required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 which comes into effect on 1st October 2006,

FROM 1st OCTOBER 2006

You must comply with these new regulations if you are :

          • Responsible for business premises
          • An employer
          • Self-employed with business premises
          • A charity or voluntary organsiation
          • A contractor with a degree of control over any premises

Failure to comply with the new legislation may lead to a fine of £5,000 and/or 2 years imprisonment

This new legislation emphasises the prevention of fire and reduction of risk, places the responsibilty on you for the safety of everyone who uses your premises and in the immediate vicinity and abolishes Fire Certificates.

You must complete a fire risk assessment on your premises before 1st October 2006 - the government has produced a 140+ page booklet which will help.

Alternatively, please call us on 01362 680158 for an informal chat about your requirements. For most small business premises we can perform and document the fire safety risk assessment for £225.00
